Financial professionals can earn CFA credits at upcoming Neuberger seminar

BECON Investment Management and Neuberger Berman will host the first-ever series of advisor-focused events in Latin America in which attendees can acquire Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) continuing-education credits.

Becon is a third-party distributor managing the bulk of Neuberger’s wholesaling effort in Latin America.

The innovative events are to be held in Santiago, Chile, Montevideo, Uruguay and Buenos Aires, Argentina between June 26 and June 28. The content will touch on global equity markets and liquid alternatives, and will also showcase the recent launch of the UCITS version of the NB Global Thematic Equities fund. The product’s strategy has a track record dating back to 1990, and is run by Neuberger’s Paduano Group.

According to Becon, the CFA Society of Uruguay evaluated the content of the 2.5-hour seminar and determined that one hour of the content could be considered relevant educational material for financial professionals and void of promotion and marketing of products and/or services of a particular entity. Therefore, financial professionals in attendance will be eligible for one hour of CE credits.

In general, the CFA Institute requires that eligible programs be primarily educational and focused on expanding knowledge, skills and abilities of financial professionals, and related to one or more of the so-called “Learning Topics” included in the CFA Institute Global Body of Investment Knowledge.
