Colombian AFPs hot on emerging markets and Europe as global allocations swell

Parvest Equity Europe Small Cap-I, a BNP Paribas fund, saw a USD 136 million May allocation that was the largest for an active fund within the Europe equity category. AFP allocations abroad in May totaled USD 17.1 billion, the highest level in over two years.

Chilean AFPs retreat from North America; look to Europe and Latam

Allianz, Deutsche and Schroders were among the beneficiaries in May of a transfer of AFP assets from North America to Europe and Latin America. The AFPs' total investment abroad increased USD 2 billion to USD 64.5 billion in the 30 days.

Brazilian fund industry raises BRL 12.3 billion in May amid new political scandals

Despite the political turmoil, the fund industry shows net inflows of BRL 106 billion year‐to‐date, more than double the amount seen in the same period of 2016, when it reached BRL 46.3 billion.

Colombian AFPs boosted exposure to emerging markets in April

Total Colombian AFP assets abroad stood at nearly USD 17 billion in April, compared with USD 16.4 billion in March, and were at their highest level in at least two years. Emerging-market exposure clicked up two points to land at over 26%.
