While cutting back broadly on positions across Asia, emerging markets and in the US, the AFPs targeted European equities in January. Some large funds from AXA, iShares, and Henderson, suffered, while State Street and Deutsche had some reason to cheer.

The AFPs made new investments worth USD 1.8 billion into European equity and USD 966 million to Japanese equity in the August-October period. The shift has helped move funds from Julius Baer, Henderson and Deutsche into the top-10 list of Chilean AFP holdings.
