Chilean pension funds reluctant to add to cross-border investments in March

While equity products saw redemptions of USD 670 million, convertible-bond mutual funds were favored with new investments of USD 500 million. BNP Paribas, Aviva Investors and DWS were among the managers that benefited most.

DNA of Banorte and Ixe survives in merged wealth-management unit

TIAA-CREF buys Nuveen Investments for USD 6.25 billion

TIAA-CREF will add USD 221 billion in assets, bringing its funds under management to about USD 800 billion. Both TIAA-CREF and Nuveen have small positions in the Latin American institutional business, though Nuveen is a much more visible brand in wealth-management circles.
