Brazilian funds got boost from market recovery in April
The equity fund class was once again the best performer, led by the FMP‐FGTS and single equity types, with respective upturns of 26.91% and 23.28%, fueled by the appreciation of Vale and Petrobras shares, which are predominant in these portfolios.

Cross-border firms lost USD 1 billion in Colombian AFP assets in January
iShares, Vanguard and State Street, the biggest recipients of Colombian AFP allocations, all suffered AUM declines. AFPs Protección and Colfondos were behind some of the largest allocation shifts.

The Brazilian stock market appreciated strongly in March, with the Ibovespa moving up by 16.97%, the highest monthly upturn since October 2002, helping Brazilian equity funds post some hefty gains.
Mexican Afores suffered a small drop in profits in 2015
Mexico's 11 Afore private-pension managers recorded net income of MXN 8.9 million (USD 516 million) in 2015, a 2% decline in local currency terms. Fee-based revenues of the managers were MXN 26.8 billion (USD 1.5 billion), an increase of roughly 5% for the year.
