The transaction will allow Amundi to strengthen its presence in the US via a larger US investment and distribution platform, said Valérie Baudson, Chief Executive Officer of Amundi.
A total of 19 products were added in the month from nine different asset managers: BNP Paribas, BNY Mellon, Fidelity, First Sentier, Franklin Templeton, LarrainVial, PIMCO, Summit Partners and UBS.
ETFs emerge as one of the main alternatives for investors to diversify their portfolios internationally. "Customers have understood the power of diversification, seeking investment alternatives that are not reflected in the local market, and also diversifying in currency, as ETF BDRs have exposure to the dollar," said Paula Salamonde, director of the Institutional segment and iShares ETF at BlackRock Brasil.
JPMorgan led with five ETFs, followed by Allianz, Bluebay, Comgest, Man and Morgan Stanley each with one mutual fund approved. Two alternative products also got the green light, one from Hollyport Capital and one from Rivean Capital.
