HMC Capital appoints Cristian Reynal as head of wholesale – Southern Cone

HMC Capital announced the appointment of Cristian Reynal as Head of Wholesale – Southern Cone, a position from which he will lead the development and strengthening of relationships with institutional clients, wealth managers, and financial advisors in Argentina and Uruguay, across both local and offshore investments. The executive will assume his role on November 1, 2025, and will be based in Buenos Aires.

Reynal’s arrival marks a new step in the consolidation of HMC Capital’s distribution platform in Latin America, where the firm has steadily increased its base of institutional clients, family offices, and wealth managers in recent years.

With more than 15 years of experience in the financial industry, Reynal brings extensive expertise in fund distribution and wealth management from his previous roles at leading firms such as MFS Investment Management and Schroders.

An Economist from Universidad de San Andrés, Reynal also holds international certifications in Alternative Investments (CAIA) and MiFID II (Fitch Learning, United Kingdom).

“The Southern Cone is a region with high growth potential for the investment industry. Cristián’s appointment will allow us to strengthen our local presence with a closer and more specialized value proposition,” said Ricardo Morales, Executive Chairman and Co-Founder of HMC Capital.

HMC Capital manages and advises more than USD 21 billion and operates in seven countries with a team of over 100 professionals, consolidating itself as one of the main traditional and alternative investment platforms in the region. Its regional strategy seeks to bring global investment opportunities closer to institutional investors, financial advisors, and private clients across Latin America.
