Strong VC performance drives jump in State Street’s GX Private Equity Index

Venture capital was the best performing private equity strategy with a return of 3.87% in the quarter. However, Will Kinlaw, head of State Street Associates, warned that fund distributions are outpacing capital draws over the last 33 months. Limited partners may be at a loss on whether to reinvest these assets in private equity.
