April proved to be a busy month for executive changes, as shareholder meetings convened in Chile. Changes at Moneda, Credicorp and Planvital garnered the most attention.
Chile’s Moneda latest to make leap into Argentina
Moneda has USD 6.5 billion under management and specializes in equity and debt analysis of Latin American companies. It also has a New York office. BTG Pactual, LarrainVial, UBS and Julius Baer are all eyeing the Argentine wealth sector.
Toesca AGF relaunches with team of ex-BTG execs
The independent Chilean firm was spun off by Moneda Asset Mgt. and purchased by ex BTG executive Alejandro Reyes. Since then, it's been populated by a slew of BTG analysts and managers, including lead portfolio manager Rodrigo Rojas.
Moneda taps Rojas to head its HNW segment
Traditionally an institutional manager, Moneda has been making inroads into the private-client segment, in response to demand from wealthy Chileans and the need to diversify the composition of its investor base and product lines.
