Javier Alamillo told Fund Pro Latin America that the Mexican asset manager will launch a new multi-thematic fund after the launch of its latest global ESG product with Robeco.

The Amafore’s vice-president, Alvaro Melendez, says he expects the change to occur toward the end of July or beginning of August 2021.

The Spanish firm is launching UCITS FoFs with Amundi, Morgan Stanley, Robeco, JPMorgan and PIMCO. The products will be distributed in Latin America either directly or via locally domiciled feeders.
A veteran in Latin American distribution circles, Victor Arakaki got his start in asset management at HSBC Brasil in 2007, where he remained until 2014, when he joined Deutsche Asset Management/DWS.
“The growing sophistication among asset owners about when and how to integrate ESG into the investment process creates opportunities to tailor strategies and provide customized solutions," said Morgan's Rui de Figueiredo.
